Wine Tasting

It was a beautiful late summer day.  My friend, Julie, and I went to check out a new vineyard and winery in our area.  It was a fantastic experience.  The owners were very friendly, and they chatted with us as we tasted all their wines and table grapes.  My favorite was Sierra Victor, but the Boots was also very good. (Both white wines).  They had a bubbly wine made with cherries and Minnesota honey that was fabulous.  It was a very enjoyable outing.  I will be going back soon!  Perhaps next time I will even play a little Bocce :)

Sun Tea

Today called for iced sun tea.   It was 94 degrees and humid.  The locusts were humming and the air was thick and hot.  I put twelve bags of tea in the pitcher, and a few hours later I added sugar and ice.  It was perfect!
